‘From Beijing to Dewsbury’ 24th August 2008 2pm-4pm

As part of Kirklees’ celebrations on the day that China hands the Olympic flag to London, we’ll be presenting a brand new street performance in Dewsbury. China and the UK share an abiding love of tea drinking. Chol invites members of the public to attend our stylish Edwardian tea party, to drink tea, partake of cakes and to relish the show’s potted history of a class act.

Directed by Andrew Loretto and featuring regular Chol actors Gerald Fox, Anne Larkin and Jag Sanghera.

Look out for our specially designed fortune cookies! Young people from Dewsbury have been telling us their hopes and dreams for the London Olympic year of 2012.
