Chol
Theatre typically makes two major theatre project per year,
alongside its other arts projects. These professional performances
often explore topics of current interest and concern to our
local communities, whilst looking at the wider national and
international picture.
No one Chol theatre production is the same
as another – some are geared towards young audiences,
others are more adult in their subject matter. What unites
the work is its sense of adventure and fun, surprise, artistic
enterprise and excellence, a strong use of visuals and live
music, combined with text and new writing – all exploring
intercultural identifies in today’s society.
Chol’s
theatre productions perform in both established theatre venues
and in non theatre spaces such as schools and outdoor areas.
We aim to broaden our audience reach with each show that we
make – hopefully appealing to seasoned theatre-goers
and brand new audiences alike. We listen to what our audiences
think about the work, so if you do manage to catch a Chol
production why not drop us a line and tell us what you think?
