Yes
it's rocket science! Brand new for Autumn 2007, Space
Circus is a touring show for Yorkshire schools which
looks at all aspects of outer-space exploration: both real
and imagined..
Setpoint, West Yorkshire, an organisation
that exists to enliven the teaching and learning of STEM subjects
– Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, has commissioned
Chol to create a learning engagement tool using drama to enrich
young people’s understanding of the science of space.
Set
in 3 inflatable artist-designed pods, the story takes place
in a lunar hotel on Jupiter’s moon, Europa, and in a
space craft. Space Circus takes on technology
and the stars; poetry and astrophysics, aliens and alienation;
maths, myths and magic and will take young people on an unforgettable
mission that asks: what’s it really like to be a scientist
and asks, are we really alone?
