Stop Press! 55 Children Are Authors of a New Story Book!

Autumn has arrived and it seems like the perfect time to share our brilliant news. Our first ever children’s book has been created with 55 children in Kirklees! Published by the ‘Equal Players’ team at Chol Theatre, we are launching the book at a very special event at Huddersfield Library on Saturday 20th October 2018 at 11am.

Chol’s stunning book has been made with five groups of local children and their parents & carers, following workshops in partnership with Kirklees Libraries. All the children who contributed stories and ideas are named as authors in the book and we are so proud of them.

The book includes diverse characters in five imaginary worlds, based on the five elements – air, fire, water, earth and metal. It’s funny, enchanting and absolutely unique, with beautiful illustrations by artist Ruth Dyer. 

Our young authors and Chol team will be at the launch on 20th October, and all members of the community are welcome to attend this free event – we look forward to seeing you there!
