Communities and young people

Chol offers work experience and volunteer opportunities to young people and emerging artists.

“Having spent most of my life being involved in performing arts and immersing myself into the theatre world, I was very engaged in theatre for entertainment. Since beginning my work with Chol in 2014 I was opened up to a whole new world of theatre, becoming more involved in community theatre and applying theatre to different situations.

Chol has launched me into a world where theatre has the power to teach, engage and change individuals, allowing me to really experience theatre being used at its full potential. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some inspiring communities, ranging from schools and educational settings to working with children visiting from Bahrain for whom English is an additional language.

Chol has sparked my passion for applied theatre, inspiring me to continue my work at higher education this year. Chol continues to impress me with how successful they are, each member of the team always giving 200% to everything they do, meaning I’m very proud to be part of a very enthusiastic, creative and inspirational team.”
